They are worthy basses. They got Joe's name on them. He won't put out crap. Very fair price excluding the inflated shipping cost.

I'd like to second Mr. Graves' sentiments... Joe is a notoriously critical and mindful builder. He would never put his name on anything that he couldn't stand behind 100%.

Also... there is a pretty die-hard fan-base for the Zon Standard series. People seem to love them... Lots of great reviews and the buzz about them on various message boards has all been really positive.

And yes... agreed... great price... shipping might be inflated, but it's coming from Puerto Rico. That might have something to do with it. Not sure.

I've got the 4 string Zon Legacy Standard (different body shape). It's one of the most effortless, comfortable necks I've ever played. I simply don't make mistakes on it...even when I try. ;) Zon purists were quick to write these basses off because they're made overseas and not graphite. So? Can't they be great in their own rite, especially given the fact that the vast majority of basses made before or since employ the "archaic" use of wood?!

The only issue I have with mine is there's virtually no taper in the pickup blend. You're either all on or all off with no gradual blend of either pickup.
