I made him an offer (declined), and he countered with $700 even, which I walked from. So if someone here is interested, know that he is willing to negotiate...

Anyone know what year this P-Bass is?

Edit: Guess it's a 2011 since it has the 60th Year sticker on it?

He previously had it listed as a "Fender Percussion Bass", hence my thread title. Glad he edited it. It's one of those 50th anniversary models.

Ah, I see....very funny!! Matt, I see a sticker on the back of the headstock that says "60"...could it be a 2011?

D'oh! Yes I meant 60th anniversary. Typo. I'm not sure, I'll have to see the serial #.

The Z5 serial would put it at 2005 if I'm not mistaken. Hm.

I tried this 60th anniversary model. Unlike other Fender Precisions made recently it has a Fender Original 62' split coil. I liked it so much that when I got my 1996 P-bass I installed the same pickup. It does not have the silly S1 switch Fender used at the time. Anyhow, it should sound pretty good.
