Never seen one in this color before. Can't decide if I like it or not:

I like the color, but it clashes with the back and sides.

Yep. That's probably what's bugging me about it too.

OMG, I want it! Badly!
Can't afford it though.

That would suit me perfectly in The Bullfight, and it looks superb in that finish (although the rest of the band will probably disagree and start bugging me about playing basses in more traditional colours - even though our guitarist gets away perfectly fine with playing his Antigua Tele  ).

Yeah... I do dig it for some strange reason... but, I would dig it WAY more if the "seafoam green" (looks closer to daphne blue to me) looked more like "mint green" and the brown stain was darker brown, so it did have that retro "chocolate mint" vibe...

As it stands right now though... the two colors just seem to clash in a weird way.

I love it. You can make all kinds of ironic statements about turning Beatlemania and the 60s on its head just by showing up with it.

But, as with all Hofners, totally overpriced in any color.

I suspect the color is not that brilliant, however, and may be closer to what you guys are looking for.. Look at the photos overall. They all seem a bit overly contrasty and hyper. The white picket fence in the background is almost completely bleached out.

I say gag me! Doesn't work. Now if this was a lefty, I'd get out my credit card to buy it. Those righty's have no idea how good they have it. Pisses me off.

I personally think it looks great, very unique looking but it"s a one trick pony.I did get a chance to play a Hofner during one of my visits to Elderly Instruments in Lansing and didn't really dig it all that much.
