I always thought that would make a GREAT fretless bass.
(I passed on one in 1987 because didn't think it was worth $300 used. Kinda regret that sometimes...)

Man! Just saw that the blue six string sold for $595, but the UPS ground shipping cost is outrageous! $176? Of course I don't know the particulars, but exorbitant shipping cost can sure shoot a good deal down... :(
