Beautiful finish, and a pretty rare 1 PUP model too. These are not just 4HH Bongos with the bridge PUP removed, the placement of the PUP is more in the P sweet spot, and I bet it sounds killer. Bongos get no love, and I don't know why. (Aren't we passed the toilet seat comparisons at this point?): https://reverb.com/item/76584795-ernie- ... llion-gold |

The video link below is an explanation of 1-pickup vs. 2-pickup Stingrays that I found some years ago. It's not as simple as, "the two-pickup version is the one-pickup with a neck pickup so it's better." It was much more nuanced and insightful than I thought it would be: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PKi_G084zQ pjmuck wrote: Bongos get no love, and I don't know why. When I first saw a Bongo so many years ago, I thought it was the coolest-looking bass I had ever seen and dreamed of the day I could afford one. Granted, I hadn't seen many basses at the time and didn't know anything. But, I have always thought they are cool. |
