Late 80's, I'm guessing. Shipping from Japan, so be careful 'cause there's multiple listings for the same bass from different suppliers. (The link below seems to have the best ebay ratings...and price overall). Lefty Explorer style basses are so hard to find. Gibson never offered lefties to the best of my knowledge. The description says it's a medium scale bass, which might work out fine because I had a full scale copy made by Gaskell Guitars a few years ago and the 1st fret felt a mile away. Just a little bit of history. We often equate the Explorer (and Flying V) designs with 80's metal. Did you know that the Explorer and Flying V guitars were first released in 1958! Not surprisingly, they both flopped, but Gibson was way ahead of their time.
