That's Fender's Algae Bloom Green finish. Very rare custom color. Also highly toxic.

I've known since we got the docs on them in July. It's very really hard keeping quiet about the 66' Jazz, it's my favourite year by far.

I have the Olympic White on order, should be in by December.

Did she arrive Big Evil? If so, is she a keeper?

I didn't fall in love with it like I was hoping. Still a really good bass, but I greatly prefer the modern feel of the Pro II Jazz bass.

The neck profile just feels kinda off for me on the AVII 66 Jazz

Off how? Don't you like the 7.25" radius, or is it the neck shape itself? I'm not in the market for one, but just curious. I've never played a bass or guitar with such a small fingerboard radius, roundest I've gone is the 9.25" on my Strats and my G&L ASAT Special and so far I favour it over the flatter radius of some of my more modern basses and guitars.

Edit: I was wrong. My MIJ Squier E-series Strat has a 7.25" radius! And I have to admit, since I got my G&L ASAT Special (9.25") in July that Strat no longer has my favourite neck shape.

Off more for me in regards to what I'm used to at this point. The neck itself was finished really well.

I've been become very used to the current modern 9.5" radius C profile neck that you would find on the Fender Pro-II or most typical G&L Fullerton Deluxe or Option Order basses.
I had played the more vintage 7.25" radius necks for a while years ago when I was regularly using MIJ 62 reissue basses.

The actual feel of the AV-II neck is really good. I was expecting more frustration with it being a bound neck, and the last bound neck I ordered in for myself was really unforgiving on the edges.
Fender is taking a little extra time with these and rounding off the neck profile slightly.
