Nice bass, but there's no reason for shipping to be $200 domestic, especially if you purchase shipping through Reverb.

Agree. $100-120 should cover anywhere in the continental US. At least that’s been my experience lately

I’d say $75 for shipping would be a solid number on it.

It's possible the seller wants to cover their Reverb fees as well, however. I sold a Gibson LP Jr. guitar on Reverb last year for $1136.00 and with shipping, fees, and tax collected through Reverb it cost me $196. Shipping was only $30 of that amount, and $87 of it was tax collected. The rest was their fees.

Not surprised... there was a time I could send or receive a bass from Hawaii for about $60-$70... not now! The last time I bought or sent a bass, which was probably about three years ago, it cost me @ $125... One of the reasons I don't buy or sell any longer... but one day, I'm going to have a major fire-sale on the the 47 basses I currently have... :)

We were discussing this in my shop the other day.
Overcharging shipping fees appears to be the new normal for private sellers on Reverb.
I'm sure that Reverb's new higher percentages have a lot to do with it.
