I already have 2 of these or I'd be on this one in a flash.
Very light, sound great. somebody should grab at $299

NOTE: Description says 3 way toggle between pickups.
I don't see one in the photos and my Danos don't have one either.
There was a more recent re-issue of this model that does have a toggle
Buyer might want to ask about that.

Are both pickups always on?

I guess technically they are both always on.
Each pickup has it's own concentric volume and tone knob.
So you can choose to hear either pickup,
or dial in any blend of the 2,
or crank them both wide open.
A toggle would be nice but I don't miss it.

OH! I didn't see that the knobs are concentric. Now it makes sense. Thanks!

I own one, these basses sound great, but if you look in the dictionary under 'noisy pickups' there's a picture of my bass. lol!
I seldom play mine, I simply prefer my own builds, and my Fender basses. $299. is a great price, I paid that new for mine, what is now a long time ago.... about 22 years ago! I also have a Longhorn, converted lefty from the mid- 90's.. same thing, killer tone, big RF attraction.
