I ordered a $69 Telecaster maple neck from a Chinese dealer on eBay a few years ago, and wouldn't you know it, the neck was excellent. VERY close to the build profile and QC of Fender's '52RI Tele necks. I just had to file the fret ends a touch. I still think China is a crapshoot overall, but I was pleasantly surprised. The one thing you do have to be wary of is the fit, however. The neck butt was too wide to fit into any Tele bodies made by Fender, so I had to sand it down. Likewise, I would be cautious about ordering a body from them for fear the neck pocket is inaccurate.
