Sold for $999? That was a steal for a super rare bass.

I saw this when first posted on their facebook site and I was shocked at the price! Normally Southpaw is a little higher and lastly this bass is a very early G&L

That’s really cool looking. What was the selling price and what should it have been?

(I’m clueless on G&L)

After posting this bass here I got really itchy for it cause I realized it has a mahogany body and it's my fave for basses.
So I called Southpaw Guitars and inquired about this bass, one of the employees said the bass wasn't available anymore.
I gave up.
Before I went to sleep I decided to check out their page and there it was up for sale so I snagged it.
It took them a little while to ship but it arrived now.
Wanted to make sure I had the right bass before posting this
It's indeed in great shape!
Pics to come some time soon!

Thanks!
It's a sweet bass after all, super clean and sounds great I only had to do a setup and it was fantastic.
I took the neck off and the body says 1983 but the neck says 1984 so we'll call it 84!

I always tell myself ‘man I’m so sick of burst finishes’, then something killer like this pops up. Really cool. I keep visiting this thread to check this thing out. :geek:
