Just came across this at Station Music in Germany. It's a custom bass with genuine Alembic hardware and electronics, and a very Alembic-like construction with lots of veneers and beautiful woods. I kinda like it! Some details aside (that brass nut with the irregular spacing, the just slightly asymmetric headstock), it looks really well-made and the woodwork looks impressive. It's in consignment at their store for a private seller.
I wonder if someone stripped an actual Alembic of its parts for this build, or if these were all bought separately.

BTW, they also stock two custom Warwick Infinity basses from a private seller!

Wow so a Ric 4003 is more than a Warwick Infinity custom order. Rics are stupid expensive in Europe.

And Warwicks are stupid expensive in the US :P
Those Infinities are stupid expensive by European standards.

Ricks have gone up a lot in recent years. In 2009 I bought a brand new 4003 for 1750 euros. These prices at Station Music are unusual, Thomann sells them for considerably less.

Yeah, it's absurd except for their rarity. If the price dropped by a third, though, I might have to start practicing my German.
