It's not black!
And it's a medium scale!
Interesting shape on the headstock.

Bobjones had spotted a lefty a few years ago. (Pic below). Yes, that funky bridge is supposed to have 4 set screws for each string, which appear to be missing. For the life of me, I can't figure out what their function's supposed to be, as the saddles already appear to have intonation and height screws. If somebody owns one of these or knows anything about them, please chime in:

The height adjustment is on a ramp. The long screw on the saddle
to the left is for height. The second screw is to lock the height and
intonation in place. The intonation screw on the right and goes to
the back of the bridge. The saddles ride in a channel rather than
raise and lower on a typical saddle.

Understood! Thanks, Bill. Have you seen/worked on any of these personally? I'm just wondering how difficult it would be to find those replacement screws. (Including the missing screw he mentions).

Looks as if the lock down screw on the E-string is missing.
That shouldn't be a problem finding a replacement. Should be
a rather common, likely M3 x .05 screw.
The thing of concern would be if the slide nut which sits under
the bridge, in the slot is still there. Now this piece can be made
if the person is able.
These bridges were made by Gotoh…..I think. I have worked
on both this bridge and the Gotoh locking bridge versions. Nice
design but was very expensive to make because of all the small
parts involved.
If someone here buys this and needs help getting the bridge back
in order, please feel free to contact me here and I will do whatever
I can to help.

After taking a second look......I see that the thumb
screws are missing. I will have to say that this is
not what I have worked on. I worked on the other
Yamaha bridge.
The thumb screws look to be a micro-adjustment?
Like a Floyd.
Not sure why they did that! It doesn't have a locking
nut. Strange and cool!
My offer still stands though.

Yes, those thumb screws at the back fo the bridge are what I was originally referring to. Reminds me of the old 80's Fender Elite bridges.

The newer models don't appear to have the thumb screws.
Yamaha looks as if they drop this feature. Even newer
models have an entirely different bridge.

Like I said, must have been very expensive to make this
guy back then. Something like 30+ pieces for one bridge!
Add plating and labor! In todays market, likely a $300
bridge easily!
