Cool looking bass, not used to seeing a 5 string on that style body.

I had my buddy at GC get it mailed to the Eugene store so I could try it out. I liked it, but not $800 liked it. They won't budge on the price. It was on eBay a while back for $600something and I couldn't afford it at the time but wished I could. I like it for about $600. It doesn't feel like a German one does. Has a thick poly coat and orange peel on the clear and I hate how they use a whole rainbow colored of wires for the control cavity and you can plainly see them through the F holes. Stuff like that deemed it not $800 to me. If it sticks around and goes on sale I might try to buy it and fix it up some, because I did like the way it sounded.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing your impression! I would like to get one of these one day. I wonder if I'll ever be cost insensitive enough for a German made. :D

Me too Tim! I want one really bad. The new Rock Bass ones are around $1000 and if I'm not mistaken are a bit better quality built, and feature a wenge fingerboard....but no burst :( Only black and white as far as I can tell.

This one would be cool if a person gave it some cosmetic tlc. I envisioned polishing it down to a satin finish, tape off and spray in the F holes with flat black so the wires aren't as visible and it looks better and add a brass nut and some black hardware, and it would be pretty damn sweet. We'll see.
