I wish I could adopt this bass and show it some kindness. I’m as puzzled by whatever happened to the back of the bass (drunken sanding moment?) as I am by the obvious fretboard disaster...sorry little ‘wick .. :cry:

Nothing wrong with the back I think. Unlike the regular Streamer LX, the Jazzman doesn't have a solid flamed maple body but a maple top on an ash body. The finish looks fine to me, aside from the obvious screwhole. The neck though...

There’s a darkened /discolored region to the left of the electronics compartment (in the orientation of the picture) that looks like heavy wear, but the front of the bass doesn’t seem to have much visible wear at all.... just found it a bit odd.

The body is in excellent shape other than the screw hole probably made for a strap button for a right handed player, who knows?
If I recall I had one of those with maple top over an ash body.
If bought at the right price maybe it would be worth to bring the neck to a luthier and install a new fingerboard.
