I bought one of these several years ago. Not a Vox instrument, but a Phantom Guitaworks, who has resurrected the classic Vox designs. (See link). It's a fun little bass, better made/sounding than the originals, and one of the ones I'm considering a candidate for flats/tapewounds.

Just brought this bass. Only bid $600usd. Wanted one of these since the sixties, can't wait for it to arrive

i was going to bid on it as well.
the price to Oz turned me off

Are you just going to deal with the postage yourself?
