Are you guys also interested in a Fenderbird bass, or just the Epi/Gibby bird variety?

I almost built a Fenderbird but the warmoth body had a neck pocket that made the neck stick way too far out, unlike Entwistle's. I'd love to do one someday though

Hello All, I am new to this forum (so I apologize in advance if this isn't the proper etiquette) but was directed here by a friend of mine. I am selling a lefty version of a Hamer FBIV (their version of a T-bird bass). The bass is currently set up for a right hand player, but could be converted back. For those that don't know, Hamer has been making quality electrics here in the US for over 30 years. They only made the FB guitars and FBIVs for a couple of years so there aren't a great deal of them out there.
This example was made in 1987, all stock with no breaks or repairs. I would rate this a strong 7.5-8/10 condition, it has some wear in the finish on the back and on the neck. Stock Hamer/dimarzio P/J pickups. Frets in excellent condition. Comes with a used but original hamer hsc.

I am asking $1500 plus actual shipping costs but open to offers.

Email me at Hamstd@gmail.com if you have any questions or need other pictures.

thanks for your time.

Peter.

Thanks I prefer Epiphone, and I'd prefer a blander finish.

There are some brand new lefthanded Chinese-made Tokai Thunderbirds on eBay.co.uk right now. Don't know about the availability in the US. Alder body, set maple neck, rosewood board. They look fairly authentic and the prices seem very fair.

The Tokais are available from this seller on ebay now, and they now come in sunburst, black, and VINTAGE WHITE! Yummy!. They'll also ship to the US:

Note that these no longer seem to come with the T-bird logo on the pickguard. This same seller had lefty Tokai T-birds for sale about a month or two ago and they did have the T-Bird logos. They also have different knobs now - black speed knobs. :?:

Yes, please do! I've been curious how they compare.

FYI, I contacted the seller about the T-Bird logo missing on the pickguard, and he told me that it's only this batch of basses that are missing them for some reason, but that future batches would have them again.
