Unfortunately I don't have a way to get an accurate weight. It's actually the lightest bass I have, lighter than my MIK and my Warmoth. It couldn't be more than an ounce or two over 9 pounds.

I'm not really sure what specific guitar player requirements might be, other than baked in tone or lack thereof. Isn't a good compressor just a good compressor? Not surprised that you didn't like the dynacomp for that reason, you're probably going to want to look at comps with three or more knobs ...

Agreed those reviews read veeeerry fishy. Schecter has a good reputation, but when you're purchasing on amazon.com ALWAYS make sure you know what supplier you are actually buying from.
