Re: Lefty friendly parts businesses (Europe) ?
Mainly necks for now, but it could grow to a full complete build.
I'm looking for Warmoth alternatives (i know Warmoth quality is top notch for the price, but unfortunately shipping and import duties will skyrocket the final price).

Re: 1971 Precision
Yes the guy is a famous collector here in Italy.
As with all collectors, he doesn't really care to sell the basses, unless you're willing to pay what he asks for.
Great basses, but ... i'd be very careful.

Re: Hot Rod P Bass
Hot rodded Ps are great basses IMO.
I dont know it the pickups are different from the standard series, but it seem to me that they sound rather consistently throughout the whole series.

Re: Rickenfaker
Good-looking bass; fake, or not....
Yes it is a fairly well made bass, though it has some minor cosmetic differences if compared to a real rick. Sound wise reminds me a lot of my old 70s Rick.
I'd like to convert it to a 4000 style bass, but i cant find enough time to play, let alone having time ...

Rickenfaker
Hi, im selling my Rickenfaker here, not playing bass anymore with a band, plus im switching to guitar. So im thinnin the herd.
Actually not a "classic" faker, as it was built by a luthier for me.
This is a rick 4001 copy loosely based on the V63 Model.
Pickup are custom made, hardware is original ...

wow
Is the price right or is the guy taking advantage from the fact that the bass is discontinued ? I guess the bass + shipping + taxes are way over my budget

Is the Epiphone Viola currenlty being offered in lefty ?
Are the pick ups (mini humbuckers) the same mounted on the gibson lp bass ?
Is the viola chambered or is just a violin shaped solid body ?
Thanks

I would like a lefty version of the les paul bass. I tried one by chance last week and it turned out to be most fat sounding bass i have ever played.

Fender hot rod Precision pickguard
i'm looking for an original Fender pickguard for my late 90s/early 2000s Hot Rod P. i was looking for those with the rod adjustment hole near the neck pocket.
Does a standard 90s Precision pickguard fit ? does the jack hole lie in the same position as the tone pot in the hotrod ?
The color ...

Re: 1983 "E" series Precision bass made in USA w/ maple fb
Some year ago i purchased an identical bass from the US, the serial was E3185xx like this one.
Probably at a certain point they did a batch of lefties.
Soon i got rid of it because it wasnt remarkable from a sonic point of view, it lacked the typical growl of a 70s P Bass.

Re: Another Japanese JB for $550 obo
The pus seem to be old di marzios.
I also own a 80s E jazz. The stock pickups sound fairly good, i'll give some other pickups brand a try.
