Re: UK Lefty Bass day

Hey:

Looks I will miss it. I am going to be in Europe, and making my way up to London, some time in the last week of May, but not that much earlier. If you have some ideas for good bass stores in London to visit let me know. Don't know if I can get to Birmingham, but may want to make the effort ...

UK Lefty Bass day

Just a headsup to let you know that a group of us here in the UK is planning a get-together for Lefty players, so we can exchange ideas, check out other people's gear and generally have a great time talking and playing bass. I'll be taking both my Regenerates, plus a couple of others (including the ...

Hi there. I've had an enquiry about the Roscoe already. As always with such things though I'll do my best to keep you informed of where we're at throughout the process.

All the best,

Andy

'77 Jazz

As part of my gradual withdrawal from active duty for medical reasons, I'm starting to offload some of my instruments.

The first on the list is my '77 Jazz. Here's the link to the original posting page on the Basschat website in the UK.

Re: Any Tips For Ska Bass?

Hi guys. Long time no see. Just came to this thread and thought I'd chip in.

Back in the day I used to know Horace quite well. He was a good friend of my next door neighbour, and we used to hang out together from time to time.

Once they took off we didn't see too much of him (for obvious reasons ...

Mark, that looks like an excellent job you've done on the repair. Personally I don't have a problem with it being slightly visible - adds to the character of the instrument IMHO. And that grain is just beautiful.

Similar product? Seems to me Rod focuses on Precision-type basses, while Pete's more of a Jazz bass builder. If you think those are similar, I encourage you to check out the 400 'P vs J' threads on Talkbass........

Rod will be well able to speak for himself once he gets a chance to draw ...

Re: Fenderbird - my first homebuild

Love the artwork - shame about the bass!

Only joking. :D There's something very satisfying about doing it yourself - I built a guitar when I was at school. (It wasn't as good as this one, but I just loved doing it.)

What's it like for weight? I would guess that a slab of ...

Re: New offerings from Warwick

I'm glad to hear about the thinner necks . As for tone, I don't care about traditions, or blazing a path. I have always had a tone in my head that I wanted, and that's the tone I will get, or bye-bye bass.

Me too. I've mentioned the problems with the neck on my Thumb in another thread. I'm pretty ...

Should even up the weight distribution a little ;)

Those are two of my Wicks above in my overly crowded office/studio/mancave I have owned others including a thumb 5 BO. I have replaced tuners with Hipshot Ultralites and they have always reduced neck dive to nothing and also in my opinion being ...
