OK, the Wal is no longer for sale. I don't need the cash so much any more, so I'll see about getting a fretless neck made at some point.
Thanks for looking!

Re: 1980 Wal Custom for sale
Quiet here, eh.....????
This is sitting in it's case upstairs and isn't being used because I play fretless 99% of the time these days.
Do I sell or have someone make me a fretless neck?
Any further interest will be gauged appropriately.

Bitsa Mongrel bass
Here's a G&L neck I ordered and fitted to an NRD Basses body. Took a bit of reshaping at the end of the neck pocket to get the same shape as the G&L neck and I had to add some thin mahogany veneer either side of the pocket to take up the slack. Nice and snug now.
Also, because the G&L neck has a ...

Re: 1980 Wal Custom for sale
Well, this is kind of a useless comment, but that is certainly the best picture of the inside of a control cavity I have ever seen; remarkably vibrant and colorful :-P
If I can critique my own photo, I'd say the depth of field is a stop or two, too shallow. Still, you can see what's in there ...

Seems like that's pretty much where I am, going by your description. Just look here: East Neukbhunt1 wrote:I went to visit Scotland in 2008 stayed in a seaside village on the Firth of Forth. Beautiful area, the people are wonderful, so much history - hope to get back there someday.
Visit again, soon.

Re: 1980 Wal Custom for sale
Totally off topic. I live in Florida, but my wife lives in York, England. We visited Scotland at Christmas
and we both fell in love with the country. Someday it'll be home. I hope.

1980 Wal Custom for sale
This is hard to do, but since acquiring a fretless Stingray I'm not using this at all.
I've had it for around 6 or 7 years or so and it's all original (currently has straplocks fitted but I think I have the original strap buttons somewhere).
The bass dates from 1980 and is in excellent shape for a ...

New ACG Recurve Type S
Here's my new ACG Recurve Type-S which I received in June. Ordered it 12 months previous to that and boy was it a long wait. It simply is the best bass I've ever owned and it sounds fantastic and partly the reason I'm looking to move my Wal on to get another 5 string. It's very heavy (13.22Ibs), but ...

Re: 1980 Wal Mark I on Leftybass
That's my Wal on Arnis site.
I'm not really sure if I want to part with it to be absolutely honest, but the need for a 5 string is growing in my mind and if the right one came along I might be persuaded.
The Wal is very nice, no issues whatsoever and for a bass that's nearly 30 years old, it's in ...
