Re: 1969 LH Mustang Bass tuners
Quick update - Put on some reg-length Rotosound RS77LD's on - silks wrapped just fine, and it's helped a great deal with the ease of tuning in addition to cutting down some of the buzz I was dealing with (as the string gauges are higher than what I was using before). Still needs fretwork, but it ...

Re: UNICORN ALERT! 1976 Lefty Mustang Bass FOR SALE
I think the price is fair given the rarity, but I did get mine (69, all original) for a little less. But that was the deal of the century imo!!! Love my unicorn. That's sweet you've played one before! =) What year & color competition was it?

Jeroen - I'm under 30 too, and have been playing seriously since July. Sounds like you do have some history with diff bands & genres, = experience - and that's more than I can say so far!

Thanks! Glad you liked the pics!
Yep, a once in a lifetime find - the man & the bass! ;)
It is a shame rightys need to tamper with a perfectly good lefty instrument. Gotta watch out for those "knucklehead rightys"!

Yeah they're both on my terrorist watch list there
There's been a lefty mustang bass case (vintage) up for months now, but it's way too much $ and looks pretty shabby. Thanks responding!

Re: 1969 LH Mustang Bass tuners
Did the cleaning & lubing one by one on the tuners, and it helped out some, not a massive difference, but enough that I was able to tuner her in less than 10 minutes! lol =) Took pics of the process.... Thanks so much Bill @ hipshot for your time, care & great advice!

Lefty Mustang Bass - Good hardshell Case, lollipop tuners
Anyone know of a good, inexpensive hardshell case that would fit a lefty Mustang Bass? The case I have is no good & I found a vintage case, but it's too expensive and doesn't appear to be much better. Any ideas/links? I need something cheap & rugged!

Well, my bf used to work at the local GC & is still friends with some of the fellas there. The owner (2nd owner who's had it since 1974) had taken it in to GC to see how much they'd give him for it, he wasn't using it & was curious. The guy he ...
